Avoid Witchcraft and Sorcery in Islam In Islam, seeking help from witch doctors or engaging in magic is strictly forbidden. These practices rely on superstitions that contradict faith and trust in Allah. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) warned, “Whoever goes to a soothsayer or fortune-teller and believes in what he says has disbelieved in what was revealed to Muhammad”* (Abu Dawood). Islam encourages turning to Allah alone for guidance, protection, and healing through lawful means, strengthening faith and inner peace.

Etiquette for Jum’ah (Friday Prayer)

Jum’ah, the Friday prayer, is a sacred time in Islam and requires respectful conduct. Muslims are encouraged to prepare by performing ghusl (ritual cleansing), wearing clean clothes, and arriving at the mosque early. Listening attentively to the khutbah (sermon) without distractions is essential, as it provides spiritual guidance. It’s important to avoid speaking, using phones, or any actions that could disrupt others’ focus. Observing good manners during Jum’ah reflects a commitment to humility, attentiveness, and respect for this blessed gathering.
